He couldn’t help but laud over her “wonderful” work ethic, despite the fact that Shakira and Lucien Laviscount have kept completely silent regarding speculations of a romantic relationship between them. While participating in a recent interview, the actor who plays Emily in Paris, who is 31 years old, revealed that he has not yet “came to terms” with the attention that he has received due to his relationship to the singer, who is 47 years old, ever since he appeared in her music video for “Puntería.”

“To tell you the truth, I still haven’t really come to terms with all of it,” Lucien said in an interview with E! News that was published on Wednesday, May 8, after his performance at the Formula One Miami Grand Prix. “The experience of working with such a remarkable artist, human being, and talent was just remarkable. There is a lot that I have learned from that, and I believe that everyone has something to learn from that stunning woman and who she is.

According to him, “the manner in which she works with her team, as well as her enthusiasm for things, the way in which she perceives things, and the way in which she wants things to be done, all of this comes from the heart, and the way in which she communicates it to other people,” “Because it comes from the heart, people will go to any lengths for her, including her team, the people who are surrounding her, and everyone who is working on that set,”

In the month of March, following the release of her enticing music video for the song “Puntería” earlier this year, there were reports that Shakira and Lucien were dating. There was a sighting of them having supper at the celebrity hotspot Carbone in New York City after her unexpected performance in Times Square during that particular month.

Final weather cancellation upsets Lovers & Friends Festival

Fans who wanted to see Ciara and Gwen Stefani at the sold-out Lovers & Friends Festival were surprised Saturday morning.

On Saturday, thousands of fans who had intended to attend a music festival in Las Vegas that was completely sold out this weekend were surprised to learn that their plans had been drastically altered. The festival organizers decided to postpone the event due to the anticipated presence of strong winds. Participants included musicians such as Gwen Stefani, Nelly Furtado, and Ciara.

Big celebrities such as Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, and Usher were scheduled to perform at the Lovers & Friends Festival, which is a hip-hop and R&B event that is filled with nostalgia. The festival was scheduled to begin on Saturday by taking place on the festival grounds in Sin City.

Over the course of its brief existence, the festival has experienced a number of setbacks; but, as late as Friday, it appeared that the festival that would have been its third incarnation was on the right track. At the same time that ticket holders and musicians were boarding planes to travel to Las Vegas, merchandise was still being promoted on social news platforms.

A statement sent by the organizers overnight brought about a change in the situation.

After receiving advice from public officials and the National Weather Service, which warned of high winds and “gusts potentially more than 60 mph,” planners stated that they had been “monitoring the weather for several days and proactively preparing for a windy Saturday.” However, they ultimately concluded that it must be avoided since it was deemed to be too dangerous.

“We are aware that fans have traveled from all over the world to enjoy this incredible lineup of superstars and have been looking forward to this event for several months,” the statement added. “This decision was extremely heartbreaking to make because we are aware of this tremendous amount of anticipation that fans have had for this event.” “Despite the fact that we have put in a lot of effort to develop an incredible event for you, we are just as disappointed as you are.”

“Mannn… ” The statement was made by Usher in an Instagram Story on Saturday morning. “I am just as disappointed as you are,” he stated. At the festival, he intended to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the release of his fourth studio album, titled “Confessions.” “Today, we were getting ready to show up and celebrate,” the speaker said.

JoJo, another would-be artist, recognized the rationale behind canceling on her own. “I was very pleased about this show since we put so much effort into it. On the other hand, it is of much more significance that people do not succumb to winds of one billion miles per hour,” she wrote on X. We create plans, and God says, “Hold on, just one second there, buddy,” and we go ahead and make them.

The FamiLee Food Section of the festival was established by Keith Lee, a well-known food critic located in Las Vegas who is active on TikTok. He asked some of his favorite local restaurants to provide food during the event. Following the announcement of the cancellation, he expressed his dismay in a video by saying, “This is devastating for these small restaurants.” They “have put damn near everything that they have into this, and currently it is not happening,” as the saying goes. At this point, everyone is frantically trying to figure out what we are going to do at this point.

According to the organizers, a refund would be issued within thirty days to everyone who acquired tickets through legitimate channels. The lowest priced tickets were $325, while the highest priced tickets were $695. However, those individuals who had already made reservations for flights and hotel rooms for the one-day festival voiced their displeasure with the change that was made at the eleventh hour.

Final weather cancellation upsets Lovers & Friends Festival

One individual posted on Instagram, “All I know is that by tomorrow, Dorothy’s whole house betta be flying by with Toto too, because this is some nonsense.” This statement was made without any further explanation.

The festival has already been subjected to a number of disappointments, even before the decision to discontinue it for this year.

Following the first announcement of Lovers & Friends in the year 2020, the legitimacy of the event was called into question due to the fact that several of the musicians on its program disputed their participation. On account of the widespread spread of the coronavirus, the event for that year was ultimately canceled.

The year 2022 marked the festival’s official debut in Las Vegas. After the event, three guests filed a lawsuit against the organizers, saying that they had failed to offer proper safety and security measures. The lawsuit was filed after they were trampled in a stampede due to rumors of gunshots during the event. The matter is currently being considered.

It was claimed by Rolling Stone in the previous year that Lil Jon had pondered filing a lawsuit against Live Nation for the name of the festival, which is the same name as the song that his group released in 2004. A request for feedback that was made on Saturday was not immediately met with a response from the organizers.

When the festival revealed its star-studded roster earlier this year, Mary J. Blige stated on Instagram that her “inclusion was an error” and that she would be practicing for her Strength of a Woman Festival & Summit. She explained that she would be performing at the festival. Blige’s name was promoted to a more prominent and prominently placed position on the festival poster the next day, and Lovers & Friends verified on social media that she will be performing at the event.

Tom Sandoval's New Girlfriend Description Is Confusing

The fact that Tom Sandoval has a new girlfriend, Victoria Lee Robinson, a model who is 31 years old, has been revealed by him. He just recently discussed her in front of the camera for the very first time. That’s great, but before we go any farther, I have a few brief follow-up questions.

Sandoval stated that when he and Robinson first met, it was at the launch party for his reality show Special Forces. At that time, she had never seen VPR and was completely unaware of the Scandoval situation. This interview took place on the “After Show” segment of the Vanderpump Rules. Sandoval claims that the two of them became friends when they went out for karaoke and ended the night at his apartment. Sandoval also claims that they hit it off with one other. The assertion that he made was that “we were just friends and then more than that.”

Are there anything that Jax Taylor and Tom Schwartz are aware of that we are not? mostly due to the fact that they seem to be wearing the looks of two persons who are acquainted with something.

During the conversation, Sandoval referred to Robinson as “very successful” and “super cool.” He also mentioned that Robinson “has her own house” and “doesn’t care about social media.” In addition to being “nurturing” and “maternal,” Sandoval describes her as being “very spontaneous.” Her other great qualities include being that she is “very spontaneous.” Sandoval has asserted that Ariana Madix is none of those things, suggesting that this could be interpreted as a covert dig at Madix. True VPR fans might identify this as such. Is that the case? And what precisely does Sandoval mean when he uses the word “maternal”?

The extent to which you trust Sandoval’s description is a question of personal opinion; yet, opinions do differ from person to person.

In the ten months that have passed since the birth of his daughter, Ruslan Kozachok has scarcely come away from her side.

In the hospital, he was the first person to hold baby Isabella before his wife did. As of late, he has acquired the ability to maintain her balance as she is practicing her first steps.

But he has never laid eyes on her.

Shrapnel from a Russian shell perforated the left side of Kozachok’s skull in Chasiv Yar, the tiny city in eastern Ukraine where he was fighting as a soldier. This caused Kozachok, who was 47 years old at the time, to lose his vision three months before Isabella was born.

His accident has deprived him of his profession, his interests, his routine, and most painfully, the opportunity to watch his daughter grow up. Kozachok was previously a tattoo artist who owned his own salon. However, his injury has deprived him of all of these things.

On the front lines of Russia’s terrible battle, Ukrainian forces are being killed and wounded on a daily basis, leaving a generation of young people with scars and injuries. Within the first few days of the invasion in 2022, a great number of people, including Kozachok, voluntarily joined the troops.

On a regular basis, severe eye injuries occur. Anna Purtova, a politician who is lobbying for soldiers who have lost their vision, stated that there have been at least one thousand soldiers experiencing blindness over the course of the past two years. During her time as head of ophthalmology at a hospital in Kyiv that treats both military personnel and civilians, Tetiana Lytvynenko stated that her ward’s thirty beds are consistently occupied.

The treatment of many combat injuries has been improved because to developments in medical technology, including the development of improved prosthetic limbs. However, there is not much that can be done for people who lose eyesight in both eyes and must learn to navigate the world without sight of their own. The increasing number of blind people in Ukraine has not yet produced any adaptations. A significant number of streetlights do not emit a beep for pedestrians, and automobiles frequently park on city sidewalks, which creates potentially hazardous obstructions. Guide dogs are not very common.

Ukrainian soldiers blinded in battle will never see their newborns.

A number of injured Ukrainians are coping with all of these difficulties while also having to deal with the issues of parental blindness.

Kozachok and his wife, Yulia, who works in a bank, had an aspiration of beginning a family for a period of nine years prior to the occurrence of his accident. At the time, she was six months pregnant when she paid a visit to her husband in the hospital and shared with him the information that his physicians had shared with her: his vision was permanently lost.

The injury to Kozachok’s head had the potential to be potentially lethal. Almost instantly, he lost one of his eyes, and he had to crawl to an evacuation point, where he stopped breathing and lost consciousness. Although he was able to survive, when he awoke in the hospital, he saw a haze that quickly turned into darkness.

A three-car crash left six persons with minor injuries and one in severe condition.

An LAPD cruiser was involved in a four-vehicle collision that occurred on Monday in Hollwood. The collision resulted in multiple injuries and the death of a pedestrian.

The occurrence took place at approximately 3:50 p.m. located in close proximity to the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and N. Gower Street.

A video that was uploaded to the Citizen app appeared to show paramedics removing the man from underneath the police cruiser and then transporting him to the ambulance. In the end, he passed away at the hospital.

A automobile traveling west on Santa Monica Boulevard collided with a cruiser that was traveling north on Gower Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The cruiser was carrying two officers at the time of the collision.

The commanding officer of the Los Angeles Police Department, Kelly Muniz, provided the following statement: “That caused the police vehicle to spin and strike a pedestrian who was in this north crosswalk.”

According to witnesses who were present at the incident, the man was pinned under the police cruiser, and bits of a guitar and shoes were found on the roadway behind the vehicle.

“Just now, I received a phone call informing me that my uncle was involved in a collision, and it was right down the road,” Paul Stiegelmar stated.

According to Stiegelmar, his aunt and uncle were riding a ridesharing to their place of employment at the time of the accident.

There were no major injuries sustained by them or anyone else in the automobiles that were involved.

During the time when authorities were trying to figure out what caused the incident, Santa Monica and Gower were both closed for several hours.

“They will be conducting a whole schematic and go through the whole light sequencing,” Muniz explained to reporters. “They will look at cameras nearby, they will look at the traffic cameras and we also have digital in car video.”

The two cops who were inside the LAPD cruiser were able to walk away from the collision after the airbags on the vehicle did deploy.

Muniz stated that even though there were two cops present in the vehicle, they did not receive any injuries. However, if we injure a person, it is always a horrible experience.

MIDDLE EAST CONFLICT

On Tuesday, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken visits Jordan and Israel to increase humanitarian aid to Gaza Strip inhabitants. His eighth visit to the region since Hamas’s Oct. 7 attack on Israel comes amid renewed hope for a cease-fire.

Key updates

This is RIYADH, Saudi Arabia. On Monday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken attempted to move forward with plans for securing and rebuilding Gaza once the Israel-Hamas war comes to an end. However, reluctance among the Arab nations that U.S. officials envision will assist in overseeing the devastated territory highlighted the difficulty that Washington faces in developing a “day after” blueprint.

Blinken visits region, hopes for cease-fire talks

During his speech at an event hosted by the World Economic Forum in the Saudi capital, Blinken stated that the administration of Vice President Joe Biden would continue its months-long pursuit of a settlement for Gaza, which has been under the authority of Hamas since 2007. Israel has made a commitment to eliminate the terrorist organization and make certain that it will not be able to carry out another attack, but it has not agreed to any plans for the future that are supported by the United States.

“Blinken stated that a significant amount of work has been done on that; however, additional work needs to be done in order for us to be prepared.” “At the same time, I believe it is obvious that in the absence of a genuine political horizon for Palestinians, it is going to be much more difficult, if not impossible, to really have a coherent plan for Gaza itself, which is why we are working on that as well,” she said.

Blinken visits Jordan and Israel on Middle East tour.

The Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, will continue his tour of the Middle East on Tuesday. He will travel to Jordan and Israel with the intention of providing additional humanitarian help to civilians living in the Gaza Strip, which is now experiencing a great deal of conflict.

Ayman Safadi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and King Abdullah II of Jordan, who has been advocating for expanded humanitarian aid into Gaza for a long time and has personally participated in airdrops into the Palestinian enclave, are scheduled to meet with Blinken in Jordan. Blinken is scheduled to meet with both of them in Amman.

In the wake of renewed confidence that negotiations could result in a cease-fire, Blinken made his eighth trip to the region since Hamas launched its offensive on Israel on October 7.

By addressing the ongoing humanitarian issue in Gaza on Monday in Saudi Arabia, Blinken stated that the most efficient method to “alleviate the suffering… is to get a cease-fire and the hostages home.” Blinken was speaking about the situation in Gaza. He went on to say that the United States was exerting pressure on Israel to take measures to safeguard civilians, work toward bettering humanitarian conditions, and ensure the safety of relief workers.

“Extraordinarily generous on the part of Israel,” Blinken said of the most recent cease-fire agreement offered by Israel. According to a former Egyptian official who was aware of the negotiations, the initial cease-fire would involve the release of thirty-three captives by the Egyptian government. Initially, Israel had advocated for the release of forty individuals.

Russia cracks down on opposition by arresting more journalists.

Over the past few days, Russia has taken further action against independent reporters and media outlets by arresting two Russian journalists on allegations of “extremism.” This is the latest move in a growing campaign against these groups. A third Russian journalist who worked for Forbes Russia was accused of producing what the authorities referred to as “fake news.”

It is likely that the growing use of anti-extremism laws to prosecute reporters, which is one component of a larger campaign to stifle domestic dissent during Russia’s war in Ukraine, will have an additional chilling effect on the few independent journalists who are still operating in Russia. The majority of these journalists are freelancers or employees of small outlets that have few legal protections.

Sergey Karelin, a video journalist who has worked with the Associated Press, Deutsche Welle, and other international publications, was arrested on Friday in the Murmansk region of northern Russia and accused with extremism, according to a report that was published by the Associated Press on Saturday. Karelin came under arrest in the territory. In anticipation of his trial, he was taken into custody.

In a statement, the Associated Press expressed that it was “very concerned” about the incarceration of Karelin and that it was “seeking additional information.”

A Russian freelance journalist named Konstantin Gabov, who has worked for Reuters, Deutsche Welle, and other outlets, was transferred to a pretrial detention center on Saturday by a court in Moscow.

Both men are suspected of working with the Anti-Corruption Foundation, which was established by Alexei Navalny, who was President Vladimir Putin’s most prominent political challenger until his death in an Arctic jail in February. Russia has referred to the foundation as a “extremist organization.”

The Kremlin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, refuted the allegations made by Navalny’s family, which stated that the Kremlin was responsible for the death of the opposition leader. They have asserted that Putin is responsible for his death, and Western politicians have agreed with them.

Both journalists have rejected the allegations that have been made against them, and may be sentenced to up to six years in prison.

During this time, Sergei Mingazov, a journalist who works for the Russian version of Forbes, was taken into custody on Friday in the city of Khabarovsk, which is located in the eastern part of the country. According to his attorney, Konstantin Bubon, Mingazov is accused of distributing false information about Russia’s military on social media. If he is found guilty of reposting reports on Telegram detailing the massacre of people by Russian soldiers in the city of Bucha, which is located in Ukraine, he risks a maximum sentence of ten years in prison.

Magomed Musaev, a millionaire with connections to the Kremlin, is the owner of the license to print Forbes Russia. Forbes Russia has reported on Mingazov’s case, but the publication has not commented on it.

A journalist named Mikhail Feldman was sentenced to two years in prison by a court in the city of Kaliningrad, which is located in the western region of Russia, for “discrediting the military” in social media posts that condemned the war. Additionally, he was subject to a two-year prohibition on posting on the internet.

Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Vladimir Putin has imprisoned hundreds of activists, opposition politicians, LGBTQ+ individuals, feminists, artists, poets, and other people who are deemed to be opponents. This is part of what Amnesty International has referred to as an effort to “blindfold” the Russian public.

Over the past few months, Russia has taken a number of other journalists into custody for having previously worked with Navalny’s organization in the areas of videography or photography. At least six independent journalists were taken into custody during the previous month, with several of them being detained solely for reporting on the confinement, death, and burial of Navalny.

The untidy musical "Hair" can, in fact, still be entertaining and relevant in the year 2024.

An overview of the musical “Hair” includes the following: It is a known landmark. It’s a tired old saying. It is a year older than I am, and it is 57 years old, may God have mercy on it.

It’s also unforgivably untidy, impossibly naive, insufferably lazy here and unmistakably thinning there — but inescapably, infuriatingly winning, too, what with the snuggle-puppies vibe of its hippie-commune characters and the undertone of existential confusion that shades and deepens the best of the sunny-with-a-chance-of-apocalypse tunes.

Composer and director Alex Garland does not study the origins of this conflict, the length of time it has been going on, or whether or not it is worthwhile to continue fighting that war. His film is about the ethics of photographing violence, and those blinders make it push forward with gusto. His film is lean and nasty. The movie has a beautiful and profoundly true feel to it, even when it is saying that people are more likely to tear one other apart over trivial grievances than they are over a sincere defense of some kind of beliefs. U.S. study details Israel, Gaza, West Bank rights abuses

In a new report, the United States Department of State stated that the conflict between Israel and Hamas “continues to raise deeply troubling concerns for human rights.” The report cited reports of war crimes committed by Israel, Hamas, and other Palestinian militant groups. It also pointed to alleged violations of human rights in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza. According to the findings of a second and independent assessment that investigated the troubled United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees, Israel has not provided evidence to support the claims that a significant number of agents working for the agency have connections to terrorist organizations.

What To Know

Major General Aharon Haliva, who is in charge of the Israeli military intelligence, has decided to step down and retire as a result of his department’s inability to anticipate the attack that Hamas carried out on October 7. Haliva is the highest-ranking leader to retire as a result of the attack, which was preceded by a number of intelligence failures.

During a press conference, the spokesperson for the United States Department of State, Matthew Miller, stated that Hamas has “moved the goal posts” on hostage negotiations. Miller stated that the militant organization appears to have reached “the determination that they might get the full-scale regional war they were hoping for,” and as a result, they have not accepted to a very substantial offering that was on the table. This statement was made after Iran and Israel exchanged attacks.

The U.S. lists several Israeli, Gazan, and West Bank rights breaches.

Despite the fact that officials declined to declare if they would stop providing aid to portions of Israel’s military due to allegations of violations, the State Department stated in a new report that was released on Monday that the Gaza battle has made the human rights situation in Israel worse.
In its annual report on human rights, the United States Department of State cited a number of reported violations of human rights that occurred in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza in 2023. These violations were committed by various parties, including the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Hamas militants, and the Palestinian Authority. These violations occurred both before and after the attacks that were carried out by Hamas on October 7th, which caused the Middle East to become more unstable and violent.

According to the report, the conflict that has arisen between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip has had a “significant negative impact” on the current state of human rights in Israel. Both Hamas and the Israeli government were described as having committed “unlawful killings,” according to reputable accounts.

Israel has not proven UNRWA worker radicalism, report says.

Jerusalem— A highly anticipated report released Monday found that the U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees must improve staff vetting to ensure neutrality and reestablish donor trust, even though Israel has not shown that many of its employees are linked to militant groups.

The independent review group found that UNRWA has “established and updated a significant number of policies, mechanisms and procedures” to maintain neutrality in recent years but needs critical reforms after reviewing its screening procedures, code of ethics, management structure, staff training, and other practices.

In a Monday news conference, former French foreign minister Catherine Colonna, who led the assessment panel, declared the agency “indispensable and irreplaceable”. She said UNRWA is important to Gaza’s humanitarian response “as we speak, at this critical time”.

The findings released Monday will largely relieve the embattled agency, which was plunged into an existential crisis in January after Israel claimed that a dozen of its 13,000 Gaza employees participated in the Oct. 7 Hamas-led attacks and that more than 10% had militant ties. Sixteen key donors, including the US, halted $450 million, about half of UNRWA’s budget, immediately.

IDF intelligence chief resigns; Israel denounces U.S. military penalties.

As a result of the failings that allowed the attack to take place on October 7, the head of intelligence for the Israel Defense Forces said that he will step down and retire. According to Israeli media, this is the first time a general has resigned as a result of the failures that allowed the attack to take place. Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, has expressed his concern about the possibility that the United States may impose sanctions on a unit of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). He has referred to this as the “height of absurdity” at a time when his troops are engaged in a conflict with Hamas in Gaza.

Resignation of Israeli military intelligence chief over Oct. 7 Hamas attack

Be aware of the following:

In a letter of resignation that was distributed by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Major General Aharon Haliva stated that the military intelligence directorate at the time of the attack by Hamas on October 7 did not fulfill its role as it was assigned to him. Since then, he remarked, “I have been carrying that black day with me at all times, day and night.” The attack was preceded by a number of intelligence failures, including internal warnings that were either ignored or minimized in importance.
In response to a story by Axios, Netanyahu stated that it is anticipated that the Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, will declare sanctions against Netzah Yehuda, an ultra-Orthodox military unit that is suspected of violating human rights in the occupied West Bank. During a phone chat with Blinken, the leader of the Israeli opposition, Benny Gantz, stated that the decision would “harm Israel’s international legitimacy.”

In a statement released on Monday, Maj. Gen. Aharon Haliva, who was the chief of the intelligence section of the Israel Defense Forces, announced that he has resigned from his position and will be retiring. He cited his regret for not being able to prevent the attack that Hamas carried out on Israel on October 7. According to reports from Israeli media, Haliva is the first general of the Israeli Defense Forces staff to resign from his job as a result of the mistakes that led to the attack and the invasion of Gaza.
