The ‘Emily in Paris’ actor praised the ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ singer’s ‘passion for things and how she envisions things’ in a new interview.

He couldn’t help but laud over her “wonderful” work ethic, despite the fact that Shakira and Lucien Laviscount have kept completely silent regarding speculations of a romantic relationship between them. While participating in a recent interview, the actor who plays Emily in Paris, who is 31 years old, revealed that he has not yet “came to terms” with the attention that he has received due to his relationship to the singer, who is 47 years old, ever since he appeared in her music video for “Puntería.”

“To tell you the truth, I still haven’t really come to terms with all of it,” Lucien said in an interview with E! News that was published on Wednesday, May 8, after his performance at the Formula One Miami Grand Prix. “The experience of working with such a remarkable artist, human being, and talent was just remarkable. There is a lot that I have learned from that, and I believe that everyone has something to learn from that stunning woman and who she is.

According to him, “the manner in which she works with her team, as well as her enthusiasm for things, the way in which she perceives things, and the way in which she wants things to be done, all of this comes from the heart, and the way in which she communicates it to other people,” “Because it comes from the heart, people will go to any lengths for her, including her team, the people who are surrounding her, and everyone who is working on that set,”

In the month of March, following the release of her enticing music video for the song “Puntería” earlier this year, there were reports that Shakira and Lucien were dating. There was a sighting of them having supper at the celebrity hotspot Carbone in New York City after her unexpected performance in Times Square during that particular month.

Final weather cancellation upsets Lovers & Friends Festival

Final weather cancellation upsets Lovers & Friends Festival

Final weather cancellation upsets Lovers & Friends Festival

Fans who wanted to see Ciara and Gwen Stefani at the sold-out Lovers & Friends Festival were surprised Saturday morning.

On Saturday, thousands of fans who had intended to attend a music festival in Las Vegas that was completely sold out this weekend were surprised to learn that their plans had been drastically altered. The festival organizers decided to postpone the event due to the anticipated presence of strong winds. Participants included musicians such as Gwen Stefani, Nelly Furtado, and Ciara.

Big celebrities such as Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, and Usher were scheduled to perform at the Lovers & Friends Festival, which is a hip-hop and R&B event that is filled with nostalgia. The festival was scheduled to begin on Saturday by taking place on the festival grounds in Sin City.

Over the course of its brief existence, the festival has experienced a number of setbacks; but, as late as Friday, it appeared that the festival that would have been its third incarnation was on the right track. At the same time that ticket holders and musicians were boarding planes to travel to Las Vegas, merchandise was still being promoted on social news platforms.

A statement sent by the organizers overnight brought about a change in the situation.

After receiving advice from public officials and the National Weather Service, which warned of high winds and “gusts potentially more than 60 mph,” planners stated that they had been “monitoring the weather for several days and proactively preparing for a windy Saturday.” However, they ultimately concluded that it must be avoided since it was deemed to be too dangerous.

“We are aware that fans have traveled from all over the world to enjoy this incredible lineup of superstars and have been looking forward to this event for several months,” the statement added. “This decision was extremely heartbreaking to make because we are aware of this tremendous amount of anticipation that fans have had for this event.” “Despite the fact that we have put in a lot of effort to develop an incredible event for you, we are just as disappointed as you are.”

“Mannn… ” The statement was made by Usher in an Instagram Story on Saturday morning. “I am just as disappointed as you are,” he stated. At the festival, he intended to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the release of his fourth studio album, titled “Confessions.” “Today, we were getting ready to show up and celebrate,” the speaker said.

JoJo, another would-be artist, recognized the rationale behind canceling on her own. “I was very pleased about this show since we put so much effort into it. On the other hand, it is of much more significance that people do not succumb to winds of one billion miles per hour,” she wrote on X. We create plans, and God says, “Hold on, just one second there, buddy,” and we go ahead and make them.

The FamiLee Food Section of the festival was established by Keith Lee, a well-known food critic located in Las Vegas who is active on TikTok. He asked some of his favorite local restaurants to provide food during the event. Following the announcement of the cancellation, he expressed his dismay in a video by saying, “This is devastating for these small restaurants.” They “have put damn near everything that they have into this, and currently it is not happening,” as the saying goes. At this point, everyone is frantically trying to figure out what we are going to do at this point.

According to the organizers, a refund would be issued within thirty days to everyone who acquired tickets through legitimate channels. The lowest priced tickets were $325, while the highest priced tickets were $695. However, those individuals who had already made reservations for flights and hotel rooms for the one-day festival voiced their displeasure with the change that was made at the eleventh hour.

Final weather cancellation upsets Lovers & Friends Festival

One individual posted on Instagram, “All I know is that by tomorrow, Dorothy’s whole house betta be flying by with Toto too, because this is some nonsense.” This statement was made without any further explanation.

The festival has already been subjected to a number of disappointments, even before the decision to discontinue it for this year.

Following the first announcement of Lovers & Friends in the year 2020, the legitimacy of the event was called into question due to the fact that several of the musicians on its program disputed their participation. On account of the widespread spread of the coronavirus, the event for that year was ultimately canceled.

The year 2022 marked the festival’s official debut in Las Vegas. After the event, three guests filed a lawsuit against the organizers, saying that they had failed to offer proper safety and security measures. The lawsuit was filed after they were trampled in a stampede due to rumors of gunshots during the event. The matter is currently being considered.

It was claimed by Rolling Stone in the previous year that Lil Jon had pondered filing a lawsuit against Live Nation for the name of the festival, which is the same name as the song that his group released in 2004. A request for feedback that was made on Saturday was not immediately met with a response from the organizers.

When the festival revealed its star-studded roster earlier this year, Mary J. Blige stated on Instagram that her “inclusion was an error” and that she would be practicing for her Strength of a Woman Festival & Summit. She explained that she would be performing at the festival. Blige’s name was promoted to a more prominent and prominently placed position on the festival poster the next day, and Lovers & Friends verified on social media that she will be performing at the event.

Tom Sandoval's New Girlfriend Description Is Confusing

The fact that Tom Sandoval has a new girlfriend, Victoria Lee Robinson, a model who is 31 years old, has been revealed by him. He just recently discussed her in front of the camera for the very first time. That’s great, but before we go any farther, I have a few brief follow-up questions.

Sandoval stated that when he and Robinson first met, it was at the launch party for his reality show Special Forces. At that time, she had never seen VPR and was completely unaware of the Scandoval situation. This interview took place on the “After Show” segment of the Vanderpump Rules. Sandoval claims that the two of them became friends when they went out for karaoke and ended the night at his apartment. Sandoval also claims that they hit it off with one other. The assertion that he made was that “we were just friends and then more than that.”

Are there anything that Jax Taylor and Tom Schwartz are aware of that we are not? mostly due to the fact that they seem to be wearing the looks of two persons who are acquainted with something.

During the conversation, Sandoval referred to Robinson as “very successful” and “super cool.” He also mentioned that Robinson “has her own house” and “doesn’t care about social media.” In addition to being “nurturing” and “maternal,” Sandoval describes her as being “very spontaneous.” Her other great qualities include being that she is “very spontaneous.” Sandoval has asserted that Ariana Madix is none of those things, suggesting that this could be interpreted as a covert dig at Madix. True VPR fans might identify this as such. Is that the case? And what precisely does Sandoval mean when he uses the word “maternal”?

The extent to which you trust Sandoval’s description is a question of personal opinion; yet, opinions do differ from person to person.

Hollywood multi-vehicle crash kills officer, injures others.

A three-car crash left six persons with minor injuries and one in severe condition.

An LAPD cruiser was involved in a four-vehicle collision that occurred on Monday in Hollwood. The collision resulted in multiple injuries and the death of a pedestrian.

The occurrence took place at approximately 3:50 p.m. located in close proximity to the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and N. Gower Street.

A video that was uploaded to the Citizen app appeared to show paramedics removing the man from underneath the police cruiser and then transporting him to the ambulance. In the end, he passed away at the hospital.

A automobile traveling west on Santa Monica Boulevard collided with a cruiser that was traveling north on Gower Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The cruiser was carrying two officers at the time of the collision.

The commanding officer of the Los Angeles Police Department, Kelly Muniz, provided the following statement: “That caused the police vehicle to spin and strike a pedestrian who was in this north crosswalk.”

According to witnesses who were present at the incident, the man was pinned under the police cruiser, and bits of a guitar and shoes were found on the roadway behind the vehicle.

“Just now, I received a phone call informing me that my uncle was involved in a collision, and it was right down the road,” Paul Stiegelmar stated.

According to Stiegelmar, his aunt and uncle were riding a ridesharing to their place of employment at the time of the accident.

There were no major injuries sustained by them or anyone else in the automobiles that were involved.

During the time when authorities were trying to figure out what caused the incident, Santa Monica and Gower were both closed for several hours.

“They will be conducting a whole schematic and go through the whole light sequencing,” Muniz explained to reporters. “They will look at cameras nearby, they will look at the traffic cameras and we also have digital in car video.”

The two cops who were inside the LAPD cruiser were able to walk away from the collision after the airbags on the vehicle did deploy.

Muniz stated that even though there were two cops present in the vehicle, they did not receive any injuries. However, if we injure a person, it is always a horrible experience.

The untidy musical "Hair" can, in fact, still be entertaining and relevant in the year 2024.

An overview of the musical “Hair” includes the following: It is a known landmark. It’s a tired old saying. It is a year older than I am, and it is 57 years old, may God have mercy on it.

It’s also unforgivably untidy, impossibly naive, insufferably lazy here and unmistakably thinning there — but inescapably, infuriatingly winning, too, what with the snuggle-puppies vibe of its hippie-commune characters and the undertone of existential confusion that shades and deepens the best of the sunny-with-a-chance-of-apocalypse tunes.

Why should one wait till the end of the year to make a decision about which movies are the best? The reviewers and contributors of The Washington Post have already awarded a number of films with three stars or more. These critics and contributors include Ann Hornaday, Ty Burr, Amy Nicholson, Jen Yamato, Jessica Kiang, Michael O’Sullivan, Mark Jenkins, and Michael Brodeur, whose initials are shown below.

Composer and director Alex Garland does not study the origins of this conflict, the length of time it has been going on, or whether or not it is worthwhile to continue fighting that war. His film is about the ethics of photographing violence, and those blinders make it push forward with gusto. His film is lean and nasty. The movie has a beautiful and profoundly true feel to it, even when it is saying that people are more likely to tear one other apart over trivial grievances than they are over a sincere defense of some kind of beliefs. With Kristen Dunst, Wagner Moura, and Cailee Spaeny in the lead roles. It is 109 minutes long. It was Amy Nicholson.

Rivalry parties

A tennis-themed romantic triangle that is slick, seductive, and enormously entertaining. It features three young performers who are at the top of their game and, under the direction of Luca Guadagnino, a director who gives them room to swing in every meaning of the term. In spite of the fact that the majority of the film’s pleasures are surface-level — grass, clay, and emotions — it has been far too long since we’ve had an intelligent frolic like this. The film is a paean to hard work and hedonism to be honest. The characters of Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor are emerging tennis stars, while Zendaya plays the role of their coach. Zendaya’s feverishly furrowed brow is serving as the center of attention. It is 131 minutes long. This is Ty Burr.

Ben Franklin, played by Michael Douglas? You risk everything.

Douglas plays the famous founding father as a swaggering 18th-century rock star in "Franklin," evoking a touch of Gordon Gekko.

BY SIRAJ April -07-2024

In the city of Angels— A subdued roar emanates from the gathering in the Polo Lounge of the Beverly Hills Hotel on a chilly Saturday afternoon in March. The restaurant was once a symbol of the pinnacle of Hollywood opulence and sophistication when Kirk Douglas was a star; today, it’s just a place for visitors to take selfies and locals to get wild with their cocktails during lunch.

However, the glitz is momentarily revived as Michael Douglas enters the room. Not only does Douglas bring a connection to the Lounge’s most legendary past as Kirk’s son, but he is also a genuine star in his own right, which causes faces to light up with warm, welcoming smiles. it’s for all those years that Michael Douglas has been That Guy, personifying a specific type of White masculinity that emerged in the late 20th century.

At his peak, Douglas embodied and reflected the cardinal forces influencing American society, such as postfeminist manhood, 1980s avarice, nuclear meltdown fears, and his generation’s transgressive desires, romantic ambitions, and rapacious ambitions. Douglas seemed remarkably attuned even in the 2000 film “Wonder Boys,” in which he played a pot-smoking, bathrobe-wearing college professor. In this role, he portrayed the panic felt by millions of baby boomers who had just realized they were entering middle age, not to mention on the cusp of leaving it.

Ben Franklin, played by Michael Douglas? You risk everything.

Sitting comfortably in a seat, ordering a cup of peppermint tea, 79-year-old Douglas doesn’t appear to be a cultural bellwether. Douglas has long found amusement in the idea that he looks more like Hollywood royalty, what with his now-white hair as perfect as his blue sport coat. Although he has spent some time in Los Angeles, his upbringing was in New York and Connecticut, and he attended Santa Barbara State University. Now that he is married to actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, they mostly reside in New York’s Westchester County. Douglas states, “It’s just hard to get away from it when you’re here,” in reference to the incessant shoptalk typical of a company town. “Every meal of the day is here. And I love having friends from many walks of life, not just the entertainment industry.

Douglas may not have a permanent residence in Los Angeles, but he certainly feels at home there. Earlier in the day, he was spotted having a cordial conversation with Emmy voters from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, who had gone to see the premiere of “Franklin,” in which Douglas portrays Benjamin Franklin, a founding father. On April 12, the eight-hour series will premiere on Apple TV Plus. Much to the actor’s relief, the audience went wild for the scene in which Franklin travels to France in 1776 to convince King Louis XVI to provide financial and military aid to the American Revolution.

As Franklin, Douglas plays him during his nine-year stay in France, when he developed his own style of persuasive diplomacy. “I dealt with doubt all the way through most of the production,” he acknowledges. Doug Douglas and Tim Van Patten, who directed the series, debated whether to use elaborate prosthetics and makeup to achieve Franklin’s unique appearance, particularly his infamously high forehead, but ultimately opted for a more realistic approach. While Douglas’s character in “Franklin” doesn’t wear a wig or powdered makeup, he does wear gray, wavy hairpieces and extensions. Instead of someone attempting to pull off a Benjamin Franklin impression, he resembles Michael Douglas.

Ben Franklin, played by Michael Douglas? You risk everything.

“I thought the audience would be more comfortable if they knew the character…. Instead of going through “eight hours of the complete Ben Franklin covering up Michael,” Douglas explains. It simply liberated me to a greater extent. A risk was still involved, he notes, asking, “Can I give the persona of Franklin?”

As preview viewers take in “Franklin” and come to terms with the ineffable merging of actor, character, and actual historical man, their anxieties seem to be fading. “Embraces Franklin’s spirit in many ways,” Van Patten remarked during a post-screening Q&A, with reference to Douglas. “Franklin is really bright, personable, inquisitive, and brimming with insight and humor. And Michael is that?

Subject: CBS/AP Updated: March 29, 2024 at 3:02 PM EDT

Having won an Emmy for his performance in the groundbreaking TV miniseries “Roots,” Louis Gossett Jr. became the first Black man to receive an Oscar for supporting acting. He passed away. This man was 87 years old.

A cousin named Neal L. Gossett confirmed the news of Gossett’s passing to CBS News. Associated Press reports that the actor passed on Thursday night in Santa Monica, California. We don’t know what killed them.

The news of our father’s passing this morning is brought to us with the deepest sadness. Please accept our deepest sympathies. We are truly grateful. The family asked for privacy at this trying time, and they asked that others do the same in a message they released on Friday.

Success came to Gossett at a young age and continued to propel him forward in his career until he won an Oscar for “An Officer and a Gentleman.” He always saw his early career as a reverse Cinderella narrative.

While he was out with an injury that prevented him from playing basketball, he had his acting debut in a school production of “You Can’t Take It with You” in Brooklyn.

He stated in his memoir “An Actor and a Gentleman” published in 2010 that he and his audience were captivated.

He was pressured by his English teacher to visit Manhattan and audition for “Take a Giant Step.” He made his Broadway debut in 1953, at the tender age of 16, after landing the part.

The 87-year-old Louis Gossett Jr., the first African-American to receive an Academy Award for supporting actor, has passed away.

It was because “I knew too little to be nervous,” Gossett wrote. “In retrospect, I should have been scared to death as I walked onto that stage, but I wasn’t.”

Scholarships for both basketball and theater allowed Gossett to attend New York University. Before long, he was performing on television shows presented by Steve Allen, Jack Paar, Red Buttons, Merv Griffin, Ed Sullivan, and David Susskind. At Frank Silvera’s offshoot of the Actors Studio, Gossett befriended James Dean and took acting classes with Marilyn Monroe, Martin Landau, and Steve McQueen.

Along with Sidney Poitier, Diana Sands, and Ruby Dee, Gossett was cast in the 1959 Broadway revival of “A Raisin in the Sun” and garnered critical praise for his performance.

Working with Sidney Poitier, Diana Sands, and Ruby Dee was an honor. “What an honor,” Gossett exclaimed to CBS.

Upcoming 2020 events. Demonstrated to me the good and the bad. I learned that from them. And I was enamored. It’s permeating my entire body.

Sammy Davis Jr. replaced Billy Daniels in “Golden Boy” in 1964, and Gossett went on to become a Broadway star.

By 1961, Gossett had made her first trip to Hollywood, where she had filmed “A Raisin in the Sun.” On that journey, he stayed in a cockroach-infested motel—one of the few accommodations that allowed Black people—and he had resentful recollections of it.

He went back to Hollywood in 1968 for a big part in NBC’s first made-for-TV movie, “Companions in Nightmare,” which co-starred Melvyn Douglas, Patrick O’Neal, and Anne Baxter.

Universal Studios had rented a convertible and Gossett had checked into the Beverly Hills Hotel. A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy pulled him over on his way back to the hotel after he picked up the vehicle. The deputy told him to lower the volume and raise the roof before releasing him.

Just a few minutes later, eight sheriff’s deputies had him pinned to the vehicle, forced to open the trunk while they contacted the rental car company, and then released him.

“My system experienced an anomaly. Keep an eye out and be cautious, you know. When asked about the incident in 2020, Gossett explained that it had a negative impact on him because of the sensation. “When people say that Black lives matter, then?” Because they harmed themselves as much as they harmed me, every life matters.

Following his supper at the hotel, he decided to go for a stroll. However, he was abruptly halted a block away by a police officer, who informed him that he had violated a regulation that forbade walking around residential areas of Beverly Hills after 9 p.m. Gossett claimed that two other officers came and tied and shackled him to a tree for three hours. When the original police car came back, he was finally set free.

“Now I had come face-to-face with racism, and it was an ugly sight,” said he. “But it was not going to destroy me.”

According to Gossett, the cops stopped his refurbished 1986 Rolls Royce Corniche II on Pacific Coast Highway in the late 1990s. The police officer informed him that he resembled a wanted individual, but upon realizing that it was Gossett, the officer departed.

In his efforts to make the globe a racist-free zone, he established the Eracism Foundation.

Among the many shows that featured Gossett’s guest spots were “Bonanza,” “The Rockford Files,” “The Mod Squad,” “McCloud,” and “The Partridge Family,” where he had a notable turn opposite Richard Pryor.

Gossett was invited to the home of actor Sharon Tate in August 1969 while she was out partying with Mamas and Papas members. First, he went home to change into clean clothes and take a shower. Just as he was about to depart, he saw a news flash on TV regarding the murder of Tate. Charles Manson’s henchmen murdered her and others that night.

“There had to be a reason for my escaping this bullet,” he concluded.

Louis Cameron Gossett was born to nurses Hellen and Louis Sr. on May 27, 1936, in Brooklyn, New York, specifically in the Coney Island neighborhood. Subsequently, he decided to honor his father by adding Jr. to his name.

Playing the role of Fiddler in the seminal 1977 miniseries “Roots,” which portrayed the horrors of enslavement on television, Gossett made her television debut. Ben Vereen, LeVar Burton, and John Amos were all part of the extensive ensemble.

In 1983, Gossett became the third Black actor to be nominated for an Academy Award for supporting actor. His role as the imposing Marine drill instructor in “An Officer and a Gentleman” co-starring Richard Gere and Debra Winger earned him an Academy Award, although he was surprised to learn of his win when speaking with CBS News.

Saying, ‘They mentioned your name!’ my agent smacked me across the breast. The role earned Gossett a Golden Globe, and she opened out about how she had to stare at him because she thought she was asleep. There was cheering when I turned around. Apparently, it’s not feasible. Thus, it is an artifact from the past.

Going forward, Gossett claims he is able to pick out “good parts” in films because to his victory. When asked about his lengthy career in 2020, he told CBS News that he saw it as “a blessing” and planned to continue working for as long as he could.

“As long as I’m here, there is a job to do for the benefit of us all, for what it’s worth,” added the president.

Among Gossett’s television appearances are “Backstairs at the White House,” “The Josephine Baker Story” (for which he received another Golden Globe), “Roots Revisited,” and “The Story of Satchel Paige.” In the 2023 version of “The Color Purple,” he portrayed a stubborn patriarch.

Even after winning an Oscar, Gossett battled an addiction to cocaine and alcohol. He blamed his Malibu home for his toxic mold syndrome diagnosis, which he received while in rehabilitation.

Gossett revealed his diagnosis of prostate cancer in 2010, claiming it was detected at an early stage. He was admitted to the hospital in 2020 because to COVID-19.

Two boys, Satie (a producer-director) and Sharron (a chef)—the latter of whom he adopted after witnessing a TV feature on youngsters in desperate situations—survive him. Robert Gossett, an actor, is his first cousin.

The marriage between Gossett and Hattie Glascoe was nullified. Both of his second marriages—to Christina Mangosing in 1975 and performer Cyndi James-Reese in 1992—ended in divorce.

Cancelled! TV shows that are not going to be renewed, along with the salaries of the cast members that will be leaving the show.

LorMost people have the misconception that receiving a leading part in a massive summer blockbuster is necessary in order to achieve success in Hollywood. On the other hand, in recent years, an increasing number of celebrities are opting to pursue careers in television, which is undergoing a period of revival, according to some. In addition to this, having a hit show means that you will have guaranteed employment (and paychecks) for a longer period of time.

On the other hand, even the most popular television programs are not always able to connect with their viewers, and as a result, it is not uncommon for networks to completely cancel them. It makes no difference if they have been broadcasting for decades or if they are just starting out from nothing. In this article, we will examine some of the television shows that will not be returning in the years 2023 and 2024, as well as the stars that will be affected by this decision

Bruce Springsteen & ‘Nebraska’; Scott Cooper Directing, Jeremy Allen White Circling With A24; Ellen Goldsmith-Vein & Eric Robinson Making the Dish

After leaving his position as the head of Netflix Film, Scott Stuber has collaborated with Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Eric Robinson of Gotham Group to produce a film about The Boss. This is Stuber’s first significant film project since leaving his position. Scott Cooper will be in charge of directing the narrative feature film Deliver Me from Nowhere. The film will tell the story of Bruce Springsteen and the lengthy process that he went through in order to put together his iconic album Nebraska, which was released in 1982. The album began to take shape when Springsteen and the E Street Band were recording music for his big success album Born in the USA. It is a reimagining of Warren Zanes’ book, which came out the year before.

Jeremy Allen White, who starred in The Bear, is the leading candidate to play Springsteen, and discussions with A24 are currently taking place to produce the film. Even though negotiations have not yet commenced with the actor, it is expected that he would travel to New Jersey for a fall shoot once the Emmy winner completes the fourth season of The Bear in June

Springsteen’s enormous success and standing as the best songwriter and melody creator over the course of decades is belied by the personal circumstances of an upbringing with a father who suffered from depression, which is something Springsteen has also struggled with. This is something that we have learnt. Many people consider Nebraska to be his most raw and greatest album. In 1982, he was experiencing the repercussions of the situation, and he poured a lot of that gloom onto the album. When he created those songs, he was in the process of dealing with the process of becoming a global sensation, and he did not actually mean to turn them into an album. He accomplished this feat by himself in a bedroom of a house that he rented in Colts Neck, New Jersey, using a straightforward four-track recorder.

One of the most significant influences on Springsteen was the film Badlands, which was directed by Terrence Malick. Springsteen addressed the film directly in the song “Nebraska,” as well as in other songs such as “Atlantic City,” “Highway Patrolman,” “State Trooper,” and many more. Each song is a timeless classic. His albums Born to Run, Darkness on the Edge of Town, and The River all brought him a great deal of success, which led to this development. The sequel to The River was titled Nebraska, and subsequently the sequel to Born in the USA was released. Although the song that served as the title track of that album was about a dejected Vietnam veteran, it was such an anthem that its meaning was unclear for a considerable amount of time.

In 2009, Cooper made the shift from actor to writer-director with the release of Crazy Heart, a film with a musical theme. Crazy Heart was nominated for an Academy Award and won for star Jeff Bridges, as well as for T Bone Burnett and Ryan Bingham for their original song “The Weary Kind.” Maggie Gyllenhaal was also nominated for an Academy Award. The Boss is Cooper’s new boss, bringing him full circle.

Springsteen and his manager Jon Landau are both actively involved in the project, and additional information will be provided in the near future. The Boss has composed or contributed songs to films that have resonated with him, and in 1994, he was awarded the Academy Award for Best Original Song for his recording of “Streets of Philadelphia.” Despite the fact that he has created films based on individual albums in collaboration with Thom Zimny, this is a new territory for the star.

Netflix loses Scott Stuber. In March, he will establish his own media company after serving as Netflix film chairman since 2017.

This has been planned for a while now, since rumors have been circulating that his mentality differs from that of Netflix toppers, whose main goal has always been to create high-quality movies for streaming. Similar to how Apple secured traditional distributors to worldwide release Killers of the Flower Moon and Napoleon, other streamers have transformed into theatrical first windows for several of their big-budget films. While Netflix has made a few high-end theater acquisitions in eligible areas like LA and NY, its main business strategy is international streaming, which does not require the massive production costs that are typically associated with Hollywood blockbusters.

During this time, Stuber will remain on staff to assist with the transfer, and Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria will take charge until a permanent successor is found.

The conventional waterfall platform, which begins with the theatrical release, was Stuber’s indoctrination into filmmaking during his formative years as a producer at Universal. He’s got the capital to start a business that will probably use that model.

In his time at Netflix, he has completely revamped the company’s film slate. Under his wing, the streaming service has produced or acquired some of its most iconic features, including: Red Notice (still the most watched movie of all time), Bird Box, Hustle, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, All Quiet on the Western Front (winner of both an Oscar and a BAFTA), Pinocchio (Guillermo del Toro), The Adam Project, The Gray Man, The Power of the Dog (winner of both an Oscar and a BAFTA), Don’t Look Up, Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman, Marriage Story, and Roma, which won Oscars.

Netflix was able to secure deals with A-list directors like Alfonso Cuarón, Spike Lee, Lee Daniels, Greta Gerwig, Zack Snyder, Susanne Bier, Rian Johnson, Jane Campion, and Martin Scorsese thanks to Stuber’s extensive network in the entertainment industry and his decades of expertise producing critically and commercially successful films.

As more and more streaming services have entered the market, star-driven films have become increasingly risky; for example, Red Notice and The Gray Man both made $200 million or more. Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman, and Daniel Craig’s Knives Out whodunit franchise was acquired by Netflix in a groundbreaking transaction worth over $400 million. Two films were received by them. From its Toronto premiere, the first, Glass Onion, was an enormous hit. Many speculated that Netflix’s infidelity with its streaming service was to blame for the fact that it failed to make a significant impact on the Oscar race. The majority of studios have racked up substantial debt trying to replicate Netflix’s model with their own streaming businesses, so it’s hard to say no. Many are still incurring losses.

Whoa, your teeth look really good!

The Bear Cast Discusses Season 3 Filming: Jeremy Allen White Discusses Carmy Hopes

At the Screen Actors Guild prizes, which took place on Saturday, the comedy series The Bear from FX ran away with all three of the top comedy series prizes. These awards were Best Ensemble, Best Actor for Jeremy Allen White, and Best Actress for Ayo Edebiri.
Since the show is presently in the production phase of its third season, White shared his thoughts behind the scenes about what he intends to accomplish with his character, Carmy.
“I was flying to Chicago and I got dropped a little note on a napkin while I was on the plane. All it said on it was, ‘I hope Carmy gets a happy ending.’ I think that’s all I really hoped for. That he learns how to understand himself a little bit better and appreciates what he has and then finds some peace.”
“I think a lot of the show is about found family and the connection we all are always searching for. What I want people to take away or understand, to me, is that it’s so much about loneliness and how to combat that. How to find belonging, how to communicate and connect. I hope those who watch it and enjoy it feel less alone,” he added later.

Lenny Kravitz, Carlos Santana, and Cindy Blackman Santana played DC’s Carlyle Room.

Rock stars like Lenny Kravitz and Carlos Santana need a powerful drummer.

According to Blackman Santana, who spoke with WTOP, the band has “put a new spin on” some pieces by artists like Wayne Shorter and a number of original compositions. “This band is absolutely incredible. With their enormous ears, the music can really go on a whirlwind tour, retaining both the energy and the excitement. Plus, each member of the band has an exceptional sound.”

Blackman spent his formative years immersed in a musical tapestry that included funk, jazz, classical, and rock ‘n roll. He was born in Yellow Springs, Ohio, in 1959. She relocated to Connecticut with her family and attended Hartford’s Hartt School of Music and Boston’s Berklee College of Music, but she dropped out to join the iconic doo-wop band The Drifters.

“That was fantastic since it gave me a sense of security and a small opportunity to earn some money… “Even though it wasn’t the music I wanted to play, it was still a great experience to just do consistent gigs,” she remarked.

Lenny Kravitz called her across the nation in 1993, after she had already relocated to New York City, and asked her to come to Los Angeles to be in his music video for “Are You Gonna Go My Way.” Featured in the live concert documentary “Alive from Planet Earth,” shot in Australia, she would go on to become his touring drummer for nearly twenty years.

“A common acquaintance of ours told me about this guy Lenny Kravitz, and he’s been trying to find a drummer, so I got in touch with him.” … “Who is that?” I asked. The man who was previously married to Lisa Bonet was named by him, she added. “I auditioned with about forty other drummers; I was in the back of the pack, and then Lenny said, ‘No, I choose Cindy.'” It was an incredible run of seventeen years performing o

Lenny Kravitz, Carlos Santana, and Cindy Blackman Santana played DC's Carlyle Room.

She met her future husband, Carlos Santana, when performing with Kravitz at a German music event in 2005.

Santana, “I was with Lenny Kravitz and Santana was playing, they played first,” Blackman recounted. I was [already] in a love relationship and I think he was too, so I had the opportunity to meet him, but we didn’t hit it off. After five years had passed, he was still attempting to decide which drummer to bring in as a replacement. At first, Carlos and I only had a musical connection; but, as we began to converse, a deeper spiritual connection emerged.

Text On July 9, 2010, while performing in Chicago, he made a spectacular proposal on onstage.

Blackman Santana had this to say about his performance: “I was playing ‘Corazón Espinado,’ and I took a drum solo.” In the middle of the performance, he beckoned me to the front of the stage and began speaking. … After what felt like an eternity, he simply gazed at me, and the silence that followed was like a golden silence. It wasn’t a dead-zone silence, but it was very golden because of the way he was gazing at me. It was then that he made the statement, “Cindy, will you marry me?” We were in front of twenty to thirty thousand people. Even though I was somewhat stunned, I responded with a “Yes, without a doubt.”

Even after all these time, the husband-and-wife duo is still performing music.

“It’s truly wonderful to engage in your passion while being accompanied by the one you love,” she remarked. We have the privilege of sharing something truly sacred. When I think about music, I think of prayer; it’s the pinnacle of human connection as it can break down and overcome barriers of all kinds, including those of race, culture, and politics. So, sharing my passion of music with Carlos is the pinnacle of joy, the pinnacle of the ride.
