Rashee Rice, a wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, is being sought by the Dallas police department in connection with an investigation into a significant accident that occurred on Saturday evening. According to the outlet, a vehicle that is believed to be registered or leased to Rice was involved in a collision at approximately 6:20 p.m. on Saturday.

In an interview with The Dallas Morning News, Kristin Lowman, a spokesperson for the Dallas Police Department, stated that the preliminary investigation revealed that two drivers, one in a Lamborghini and the other in a Chevrolet Corvette, were traveling at high speeds in the far left lane when they both lost control of their vehicles. During the time that the authorities are still trying to identify the individuals responsible for the collision, two drivers were treated at the scene of the accident for minor injuries, and two other people were sent to a hospital with minor injuries.
There is a lack of clarity regarding Rice’s alleged role in the collision; nonetheless, the police call sheet that was obtained by The Dallas Morning News identified him as the person who is suspected of driving the Corvette.

The Chiefs selected Rice in the second round of the draft the previous year, and he had a remarkable rookie season, finishing as Patrick Mahomes’ second-leading receiver behind Travic Kelce. Before setting a new record for an NFL rookie with 26 postseason receptions during the Chiefs’ journey to the Super Bowl, he had 79 receptions for 938 yards and seven touchdowns, which led the club.

At around 6:25 p.m., officers responded to complaints about a collision involving many vehicles that occurred on the 6600 block of North Central Expressway, close to the Lovers Lane exit, as stated by the Denver Police Department. Two vehicles, a Chevrolet Corvette and a Lamborghini, were traveling at high speeds in the far left lane of the highway when both drivers lost control of their vehicles, according to a statement released by the Department of Public Safety (DPS). The preliminary inquiry conducted by the police revealed that an investigation was conducted.

Lowman said occupants of the Lamborghini and Corvette “all ran from the scene without stopping to determine if anyone needed medical help or providing their information.” In addition, two other drivers were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to Lowman. At a nearby hospital, two individuals who were traveling in a different vehicle were transported with minor injuries. According to Lowman, the investigation and the identification of suspects are still ongoing right now. WFAA reported Saturday night about a multi-vehicle crash on North Central Expressway, showing video from the scene afterward while saying traffic had been backed up for several hours while the highway was shut down.

The Dallas Fire Rescue teams treated two drivers at the scene for minor injuries, and they took two occupants from another of the affected vehicles to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. This information comes from the police.

WFAA was informed by attorney Marc Lenahan that he represented one of the victims who stayed hospitalized for the night of Sunday.

“They were just headed down the highway to meet friends for dinner, like we all do,” Lenahan explained to reporters. “At 6:30 o’clock at night, two vehicles were traveling at an excessively high rate of speed on a highway that was packed with families and other individuals who were attempting to get home, get to meals, or be with loved ones. The individuals in question believed that they were too cool for all of that.

According to their sources, the police believe that one of the automobiles that was speeding was registered in Rice’s name. Additionally, according to sources, the police suspect that the Lamborghini and the Corvette were competing in a street race at the time of the accident.

There is no evidence that Rice was booked into the Dallas County jail as of Sunday afternoon, according to the records. At this point, it is not entirely obvious what actions the police have been doing in order to locate Rice.

In response to a request for comment, officials with the DPD did not provide any clarification, and they have not yet named Rice as a suspect in their official pronouncements.
